She is 3rd in the line of succession, after her elder brother and father, because on 20th December 2007, as he had done the previous year for Prince Christian, Per Stug Møller, Denmark's Minister for Foreign Affairs, formally wrote and signed a hand-written document confirming Isabella's position as third in the line of succession to the Danish Throne. The princess's full name, dates of birth and christening, and the names of her godparents were recorded as dictated by the Royal Law of 1799. which means that Isabella's place on the throne will not be taken in case she has a brother (her mother giving birth to a boy in 2011, but this being the fourth on the Danish throne). From 2008, she is Countess of Monpezat. Being the daughter of Crown Prince she has title and style: Her Royal Highness Princess of Denmark, Countess of Monpezat, what her cousins (Prince Joachim's children) do not have: they have the nickname "Her Highness" being only members of the Royal Family and not of the Royal House and they don't have the tile: Count/Countess of Monpezat▪︎
